Buhoma Community Rest Camp Project

This was established in 1993 as Buhoma Community Rest Camp Project (BCRCP). Since then, it has been a community-based enterprise initiated and managed by members of communities surrounding Buhoma town council.

Buhoma Community Rest Camp Project Core Objectives

  • We aim to create a sustainable resource base in Buhoma, thereby kickstarting the development process. By doing so, we will lay the foundation for a thriving community. Next, we will initiate development projects that will drive economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents. Consequently, this will pave the way for a brighter future in Buhoma.
  • To promote activities that will empower women to be financially productive and independent.
  • To promote quality health and education for the children in the community that will teach them to value the environment.
  • To promote the conservation of natural resources through economic activities that are safe to the environment and in particular Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
